Book hunting at Iași, organized by FILIT

The International Festival of Literature and Translation of Iași – FILIT and the local blogger community Social Media Iași organizes a new session of book hunting in the city of Iași, in the preparation of the 6th  edition of FILIT, which will take place between the 3rd of October and the 7th of October 2018.

he people of Iași are invited to search for the books hidden by the bloggers all over the city, to read them and then to bring them to FILIT, in order to meet with the authors who wrote them and who are at the festival. The initiative regarding the hunting of books written by the authors that attend FILIT started in 2017 and enjoyed a warm welcome among the community of Iași.

The International Festival of Literature and Translation of Iași (FILIT) is a cultural project funded by the County Council of Iași through the National Museum of Romanian Literature of Iași, which brings together well-known writers from Romania and from abroad between the 3rd of October and 7th October, within events opened to the general public. There are important names of the international literature among the guests, such as Jonathan Franzen (USA), Jón Kalman Stefánsson (Iceland), Kamila Shamsie (Great Britain), Sylvie Germain (France), etc., together with tens of Romanian writers and poets, as well as translators from all over the world. The event will also be attended by cultural managers, publishers, journalists from the country and abroad.
