In the preview of the International Festival of Literature and Translation of Iași – FILIT, a meeting with the French writer and cinematographer, Éric Vuillard , organized in collaboration with the French Institute of Romania and Litera Publishing House, will be held. Rewarded with countless literary awards, in 2017 he received the Goncourt Award for his most recent book, The Order of the Day – L’ Ordre du Jour, ‘a book of a stunning force in its simplicity’ ( Le Monde ), published in Romania at the Litera Publishing House.
The event will take place on the 1st of October, in the Ferdinand Hall of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, starting with 18:30, and will be moderated by Luiza Vasiliu, journalist of Scena9. The translation will be done by Dana Monah.

The sixth edition of the International Festival of Literature and Translation of Iași – FILIT , a project funded by the County Council of Iași through the National Museum of Romanian Literature of Iași will take place between the 3rd of October and the 7th of October and will bring together important names of the literature such as Jonathan Franzen, Jón Kalman Stefánsson, Kamila Shamsie, Sylvie Germain, Gabriela Adameșteanu and many more.
